Hi folks,
What are the chances I tin can pull a 2 lesser plow with my B2601? Is there a rule of pollex for tractor size vs. implements size particularly with ground engagement implements?
Thanks in advance,
Glenn
somewhere I read .......one" - one.5" per HP ......then a xiv" single would need 14 to 21 HP at the drawbar
only it volition depend on the soil and type of conditions too!

Hi folks,
What are the chances I tin can pull a ii bottom plow with my B2601? Is there a rule of thumb for tractor size vs. implements size especially with ground appointment implements?
Thanks in advance,
Glenn
No.
Pulling a 2X14 moldboard turn will require close to 30 PTO HP and over xx drawbar HP in skillful basis and much more of both in many grounds. The tractor will too need to be properly ready for plowing, e.m., AG tires, ballast, etc.
Not sure what you program to do but a rototiller may well be a better alternative.

If y'all desire a nice one bottom xvi" plow, notice a scrapper who has the quondam pull type plough(normally ii lesser). Remove one beam and brand the 3pt arms.
Non much to a turn.

Exist careful about buying old plows. Moldboards and shears practice wear out and you'll well-nigh likely never detect replacements. If you lot do find an old turn that's in fair condition, make certain you lot hardface the wearable parts to make information technology last equally long as possible.
I did not call up of that. Thank you for the info. I don't really need it, I simply found it and thought information technology was cheap plenty to add to the armada.

Glenn
