sprint. they come in, it says to download. I press it, then says " unable to download, generic network failure". Ive had a full WiFi signal. Tried doing without wifi, had a full signal. Tried turning off auto recieve per someone else's post on sprint. Nothing has worked. Ive got too many texts that I need to save and too much contact info, for a factory reset. I know no way of how to save all of this without writing it all down either. Thanks for any help.

My old phone gave me the same problem it would say something to that effect but it cleared up on its own so I had just assumed the signal was low and for some reason didn't register on the status bar. I have boost not sure if there's a difference in signal. Considering its sprints network but ill go from full to nothing instantly without moving in clear weather so I never trusted the signal bars anyway. Maybe try updating your PRL see if that helps because its seems like its a service issue the only other time you'd get that messege other than no signal is with a prepaid carrier if you let your account run out and that's not the case so try the prl update and see if that works not sure other than that. If it still doesnt work then. Contact sprint and see what they say. As far as saving your contacts depending on what phone you have you can back up your contacts onto an SD card by going to your dialer going to people under options there should be a back up/restore option that will restore all your contacts to your gmail account if you set one up. As far as your texts titanium backup should take care of that (you can find it on google play store)if you're rooted I'm not sure if it will work without root though. Maybe in your phones recovery Im not sure what the stock recovery has for back up options but its worth a shot hope ya get it fixed rather than go through all that.

MyBackups will save your contacts & text message history in case you do need to do a factory reset. There's a free version and a paid version. It's been long enough since I bought the paid version that I can't remember for sure, but I think those are all things that are included in the free version.

Of course, if your contacts are Google contacts then you don't have to worry about the contacts backup anyway...

Its hilarious how much nonsense is posted here and NO ONE seems to be able to give a clear concise answer. I've never seen so much text that says SO little.
